The pendants & handbag charms/beltloops, like the pins & earrings, are made from a variety of glass and acrylic beads & colours, with or without charms, and are all attached to sterling or silver plated chains. All the pendants & cluster handbag/beltloop charms are chunky and heavy & totally unique - and they are all made with intricate detail and endless amounts of patience…
The ~KAZURI~ ceramic beads you see on this page have all been handmade by women in Nairobi - most of them single mothers or ladies from broken marriages - and I have carefully selected them for their colours, shape and size when I was in Kenya in March 2007. This was a major task as there were literally thousands of beads to chose from! (and I really do mean thousands!) It goes without saying that I was like a kid in a sweetshop!
I was so impressed with all the lovely ~KAZURI~ ladies, that I will donate a percentage from each sale of one of my KAZURI ~Jabulani Designs~ to them. 'KAZURI' in Swahili means ~small & beautiful~ and they are just that! I hope you will like them as much as I do..
